OPERATION MANAGER

Morris Hedstroma key player in the retailing sector in Fiji is seeking to recruit suitably qualified and highly motivated Operations Manager to be based in theirHead Office inSuva. This is a senior management position that requires various skills, superior leadership, financial planning and the ability to multi task various projects within the organisation.

This role will include working with management to increase productivity by overseeing merchandising, customer service, shrinkage, planning, recruitment, financial and stock management.

The successful candidate will:

• Continuously review all supermarket operations and provide leadership to build successful team of store managers
• Focus on sales building and achieving budgeted sales and expense targets
• Organise training programs in relation to product, sales and customer service and develop staff and their product knowledge in view of improving productivity
• Implement and ensure adherence to internal controls, including inventory management, procurement, obsolescence and pilferage
• Manage categories to ensure margin and stock turn are achieved
• Ensure in-store experience is consistent and delivers branding objectives

To secure this position in one of the largest organisation, you will have:

·         Relevant tertiary qualification preferably in operations management

·         At least ten years of hands-on experience in running retail supermarket with some previous merchandising and operational management experience

·         Good business acumen and strong leadership, communication and training skills with the ability to prioritize and work under pressure

·         Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with key internal and external stakeholders
